Good news from Acer I would like to inform here, that is about its LumiRead, first Acer’s ebook reader. It’s just another great news Acer has announced lately right after the Acer’s 7-inches tablet computer. You would see the LumiRead has some similarities with the tablet, but this ebook reader is actually designed far different from the tablet. LumiRead has smaller e-ink screen with 6 inches screen size. However, it still keeps the same QWERTY keyboard just like the tablet.
If you feel it’s important to buy this reader as soon as possible, you should be more and more patient since the reader will be expectedly launched at the third quarter of 2010.
However, you should still learn many more things as to the LumiRead, so that you can compare it to other ebook readers sold in the market. LumiRead is able to scan the ISBN of a book to help you to browse the book online and even buy it from the online book stores. Other than that, the reader is also equipped with 2GB internal memory and you can also expand it with external MicroSD. However, unfortunately I couldn’t tell you what kind of file this reader is able to support.

On a certain publication released recently, it is said that Yahoo will also provide email and instant messenger services along with all its features in the Nokia’s mobile phones products. Yahoo’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Carol Bartz, mentioned that partnership programs have now been a vital part of Yahoo. “You can say that it is just like Yahoo’s DNA”, he said. He may speak of the truth, last year , for example, Yahoo signed a partnership agreement and contract on web searching service as an effort to reduce Google’s domination on that feature on the web.
Yahoo and Nokia did not ever mention the financial details of the agreement contract. Yet, they both say that the contract will give mutual benefit to them as much as they can. The services and features will support both brands in the market.
Yahoo’s navigation and mapping service will be marked “powered by Ovi”, which is Nokia’s software and service brand, the same thing with Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat Mail.
