Mobile Reporting For Manufacturing Company

The company I work for is a mid-size clothing manufacturing company and we are searching for a business intelligence solution that provides mobile reporting, so we can stay up to date on our inventory and other important business metrics through our mobile devices. In my search to find the best solution, I came across a few companies that provided access to real time business intelligence data via mobile reports. I analyzed all of the companies based on three requirements, which included the ease of use, interface design and cost. One company in particular stood out from the rest in terms of design and usability, Actuate Corp. Unlike most other companies in the BI space, they have an entire page dedicated to their mobile reporting solution. The page is packed with valuable information including features, benefits and even a section dedicated to developers. The mobile reporting solution can also be accessed through various devices including the iPhone and iPad. I was excited about their offerings and decided download the free trial version of the software. I am currently enjoying the trial version but have not decided on any long term commitments with the software until further evaluation. If you’re interested in accessing up to date real time data through mobile devices then I would recommended you try Actuate BIRT yourself.
