Multimedia vendor from Taiwan, Asus, in cooperation with the GPS technology vendor from United States, Garmin, for the first time launch a navigator smart-phone, Nuvifone M10. Nuvifone’s country manager for Indonesia, Willy Halim, said that the extra performance of software applied in Nuvifone enabled its feature in Global-Positioning System (GPS) to work five times faster than it did in any other smart-phones. Nuvifone is also able to do the fix list (process of acquiring satellite signal along with the position solution) in just 33 seconds!
Nuvifone is also equipped with the latest software to provide more updated choices of new objects and locations which are called the points of interests along with the ability to save the location data in case the GPS signal vanishes in a sudden. With the Click&Go feature, the user is only 3 clicks away from the location searched in the map. Meanwhile, for the navigation guide, Nuvifone provides many features such as text-to-speech, junction-view, and lane-guidance, along with the searching of the nearest point of interest such as the parking lot, restaurant, gas station, and much more. This 7.2 Mbps HSDPA mobile phone also has a built-in 5 megapixels camera, strengthened with the MSMM7227 600MHz processor, a 512 Random Access Memory (RAM) and ROM, and last nut not least, the 4 GB internal memory.
